Jiten Mehta

An accountant, a filmmaker and an avid cricket fan! Born and raised in India, I came to Australia in 2006 for further studies in accounting. After completing my masters, I chose to stay in this beautiful country and became a citizen of Australia. Having lived here for almost 20 years, I enjoy the balance of both the Indian and Australian culture in my life. I love my samosas with a corona beer. Red wine with a gourmet pizza a bliss! Being a true foodie (although a veggo), I have strong taste buds and love to try different cuisines at cool restaurants with great vibes.

I've also directed and produced a short film, "Eddyct", which has been streaming on Prime, which you're free to watch and not judge me. I play cricket and watch a movie or two during the weekends. I love the summers and the beaches here. My ideal tourist destinations would be Italy and Hawaii and I hope to visit them sometime soon.

My career in accounting started in 2008, as a bookkeeper for a small cosmetics wholesale company. Since then, I have worked in both commercial and chartered firms, providing financial and management accounting services. My expertise lies in all things in commercial accounting, most importantly getting things done! After completing my CPA in 2014, I have worked for a variety of clientele from different industries like construction, real estate, property development & not for profit.

I joined Gunderson Briggs in 2024, as a commercial services manager and it's been a roller coaster ride and a fantastic journey since then. Managing accounts for large client groups, I have had an opportunity to witness a massive expansion in the clients s operations, assisting in the transition of accounting platform and constantly driving improvements in the processes.

Besides working during the day, I enjoy cracking jokes, cricket banter and the Melbourne Cup event at Gunderson Briggs.
